Why did you choose to become a developer?

I became a developer by chance more than by choice. I learned HTML for fun nearly 20 years ago. A friend asked if I could build them a website for their IT support business, and I enjoyed it so much that I haven’t stopped building websites ever since.

What are the challenges you've faced in your career as a developer?

Keeping up with evolving technologies. It’s important to stay on top of new tools and techniques, and always be willing to learn new things.

What is your favourite thing about being a developer?

Solving unique problems every day - no two days are ever the same.


If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?

The Galapagos Islands


What are you most looking forward to now you are part of the dotcraft team?

I’m looking forward to being a part of a close-knit team. The dotcraft team is full of individuals that love what they do, and they bring a great energy to work with them.


How do you keep up to date with the latest trends?

Email newsletters, believe it or not! TL;DR (tldr.tech), This Week in React (thisweekinreact.com), Bytes (bytes.dev).

(Random question generator) If you were asked to play a character in a new upcoming console game, what genre and character would it be?

I’m a homebody and like a quiet life, so probably a character in a low-key RPG like Stardew Valley.
